MAYA Collection is built on an enduring belief; the objects we live with shape how a space feels. Each rug is uniquely designed to soften a room, to hold memory, and to become part of everyday rituals.

Our Ethos

MAYA Collection comes from a sensitivity to material, touch, and the way spaces are experienced over time. It draws on ritual, on making by hand, and on the understanding that objects don’t need to be loud to be meaningful, they just need to sit naturally within a place. Nothing is created for a moment, it’s made to stay, to gather memory, and to become part of the fabric of everyday life.

Our Values
I

RITUAL

Ritual sits at the centre of Maya Collection. These rugs are made to support everyday living; creating space to pause, gather, reflect and connect. They sit underfoot as life unfolds, bringing warmth through their material and presence.
II

Community

Maya Collection exists within a network of artisans, collaborators, and homes. We value the hands that craft each rug and the people who gather upon them, fostering connection from origin to everyday living.
III

ENDURING

Maya Collection transcends trend. Grounded in balanced design and softened, sophisticated colour, each piece is created to feel as meaningful today as it will for generations to come.

(I) Materials carry and transfer energy.
(II) Knot by knot, signs of the human hand emerge.
(III) A process of reinvention of raw and natural materials occurs.

Woven from Earth

Each piece begins with natural fibre, drawn directly from its source, and moves through spinning, dyeing, and weaving in a slow, deliberate sequence. Guided by hand as much as by process, the material is never over-refined β€” its irregularities are allowed to remain, giving the surface its depth, softness, and quiet character. Over time, it settles into its environment, responding to light, touch, and use, becoming more nuanced and more itself with age.

Momentum

A continuous process, carried forward through repetition and rhythm. Each stage building on the last, without interruption.

KNOTTED BY HAND

Each knot formed individually, held in place through touch and tension. A slow, deliberate process where time and skill remain visible.

The Natural World

Materials sourced directly from the landscape, in their raw state. Their character shaped by origin, climate, and time.

Yarn

Origins of Fibre
Sourced from landscape, in its most elemental state. Fibre before it is spun, shaped, or defined.

Ceremony

Ritual & Preparation
Sourced from landscape, in its most elemental state. Fibre before it is spun, shaped, or defined.

Tapestry

Tradition
A practice shaped over generations, carried through skilled hands. Pattern, material, and meaning woven into a lasting form.

Spin

Guided by Hand
Yarn is measured, wound, and set under tension before further process. Preparing each length for dye and eventual weaving.

Weave

Surface & Rhythm
Threads interlaced through tension and repetition. A surface formed gradually, line by line.
